Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade, discarding the excess marinade.
  5. Grill the flank steak for 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.
  6. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a sprig of fresh rosemary to the marinade.
