Description

A flavorful Thai peanut sauce perfect for dipping, drizzling, or marinating.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together peanut butter and warm water until smooth.
  2. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Whisk until all ingredients are well combined and the sauce is smooth.
  4. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more warm water, one teaspoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

Notes

  • Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Thin with a little water or lime juice before serving if it has thickened.
