- 12 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour caramel mixture over popped popcorn and stir until evenly coated.
- Let cool slightly until the mixture is easy to handle.
- Grease your hands with butter or cooking spray.
- Shape the popcorn mixture into balls.
- Let the popcorn balls cool completely on wax paper.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips to the popcorn mixture.
