  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the milk and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. In another bowl, gently toss the blackberries with 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice.
  6. Pour the blackberry mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  7. Pour the cobbler batter evenly over the blackberries.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
