A simple and delicious recipe for homemade blackberry cobbler.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- In another bowl, gently toss the blackberries with 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice.
- Pour the blackberry mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- Pour the cobbler batter evenly over the blackberries.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- If using frozen blackberries, do not thaw them before using.
