Description

Tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 3 racks pork ribs (about 6 lbs total)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if present.
  3. Season ribs generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place ribs on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until tender.
  6. While ribs are baking, prepare the glaze.
  7. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  8. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  9. Cook for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  10. Remove ribs from the oven.
  11. Brush the honey garlic glaze generously over the ribs.
  12. Return ribs to the oven for another 15-20 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized.
  13. Let the ribs rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can grill the ribs for a few minutes after glazing to get a nice char.
  • Adjust the red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
  • Ensure the glaze does not burn in the oven.
