Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (about 68 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Butterfly the lobster tails by cutting down the top shell with kitchen shears, stopping at the tail fin. Gently spread the shell open.
  3. Carefully pull the meat up and out of the shell, resting it on top of the shell.
  4. In a small bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives, and lemon zest.
  5. Season the lobster meat with salt and pepper.
  6. Brush the garlic herb butter generously over the lobster meat.
  7. Place the butterflied lobster tails on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.
  9. Serve immediately.
