A colorful and refreshing trifle perfect for your Independence Day celebration.
Ingredients

- 1 (16 ounce) pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 (3 ounce) package strawberry gelatin mix
- 1 (3 ounce) package raspberry gelatin mix
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
Instructions
- Prepare the gelatin: In separate bowls, dissolve the strawberry gelatin mix in 1 cup of boiling water and the raspberry gelatin mix in another 1 cup of boiling water. Stir in 1/2 cup of cold water into each bowl. Let stand until slightly thickened.
- Assemble the trifle: In a large, clear glass bowl, layer half of the pound cake cubes.
- Spoon half of the thickened strawberry gelatin over the pound cake.
- Top with half of the whipped topping.
- Sprinkle half of the blueberries and strawberries over the whipped topping.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, raspberry gelatin, whipped topping, blueberries, and strawberries.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a firmer trifle, allow the gelatin to thicken more before layering.
- You can substitute other red and blue fruits like raspberries and blackberries.
