Ingredients

- 12 ounces pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, oil-packed, drained and chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add drained pasta, reserved pasta water, basil, and Parmesan cheese to the skillet.
- Toss to combine and coat the pasta evenly.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a creamier sauce, add a splash of heavy cream.
- You can add cooked chicken or shrimp for added protein.
