Instructions
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the dough into small balls or logs, or use a cookie press.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Chill the dough for 30 minutes before shaping for easier handling.
