- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss beef with soy sauce and cornstarch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove beef from skillet.
- Add broccoli, bell pepper, and onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return beef to the skillet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Pour over stir-fry.
- Cook, stirring, until sauce thickens.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute other vegetables like snap peas, carrots, or mushrooms.
- Marinate beef for at least 15 minutes for more tender results.
